Air quality today

The air quality in Albacete today is classified as Good. The primary pollutant measured is PM10, with eight valid observations recorded. The reported PM10 concentration aligns with a reference value of 23.0 micrograms per cubic metre.

Overall conditions remain within the limits indicated for this category, and no additional pollutants are highlighted for the current assessment. This page is informational; for health guidance, use official sources such as EPA AirNow or WHO.

What the data includes

The Albacete air‑quality dataset contains measurements for seven pollutants – carbon monoxide (CO), nitrogen oxides (NO and NO₂), ozone (O₃), particulate matter of both size fractions (PM₁₀ and PM₂.₅) and sulphur dioxide (SO₂). The data come from 19 individual rows recorded at two monitoring sites, all located in the Parque Tecnológico area.

Across the recent updates most values are very fresh: CO, NO₂, O₃, PM₁₀ and SO₂ were last refreshed on 2026‑02‑09, with timestamps that fall within the past week. The median CO concentration is 630 µg/m³, which also happens to be its maximum recorded value, indicating a very narrow spread (minimum 380 µg/m³). NO₂ shows a modest range from 7 to 25 µg/m³, with a median of 8 µg/m³ and the 90th percentile at 21.6 µg/m³. Ozone varies between 3 and 72 µg/m³, centering around a median of 70 µg/m³; its lower‑decile is already above 16 µg/m³. PM₁₀ values are low, ranging from 16 to 23 µg/m³ with a median of 19 µg/m³.

Two pollutants have noticeably older or less frequent data. The PM₂.5 series was last updated on 2026‑01‑19, which is still within the past month but older than the other streams; its values span from 0 to 158 µg/m³, with a median of only 5 µg/m³ and a high 90th percentile of 127.4 µg/m³, suggesting occasional spikes. Nitrogen monoxide (NO) is based on a single historic record from 2024‑02‑13, showing a constant value of 2 µg/m³; no recent measurements are available for this gas.

Overall the dataset provides a fairly complete and current picture for most pollutants, but coverage is uneven: while CO, NO₂, O₃, PM₁₀ and SO₂ are regularly refreshed, PM₂.5 and especially NO rely on older entries, meaning that short‑term variations in those components may not be fully captured at any given moment.

Data notes

The data shown for Albacete are based on eight valid measurements and have been updated within 3 days, with the latest refresh recorded at 2026‑02‑09 15:00 UTC. This snapshot reflects conditions captured by the monitoring network at that time; air quality can differ across neighborhoods and change throughout the day, so values may not represent every location or moment in the city.
