Air quality today

The air quality in Haldia today is classified as USG. The primary pollutant identified is PM2.5 (fine particles). Measurements show a PM2.5 concentration of 38.35 µg/m³ and a PM10 level of 111.15 µg/m³, based on twelve valid observations recorded by OpenAQ.

These values reflect the current monitoring snapshot for Haldia. This page is informational; for health guidance, use official sources such as EPA AirNow or WHO.

What the data includes

The Haldia air‑quality feed draws from two monitoring stations that together provide eighteen recent rows of data covering a full suite of pollutants – carbon monoxide (CO), nitrogen oxides (NO, NO2, NOX), ozone (O3), particulate matter 10 µm and 2.5 µm (PM10, PM2.5), relative humidity, sulphur dioxide (SO2), temperature, wind direction and wind speed. For most of the chemical species the latest measurements were recorded on 2026‑02‑10 at 14:00 UTC, meaning they are fresh enough to reflect conditions within the past three days. Specifically, O3 reached a maximum of 19.33 µg/m³ (median 18.98 µg/m³), PM10 peaked at 111.15 µg/m³ (median 98.10 µg/m³) and PM2.5 was as high as 38.35 µg/m³ (median 62.83 µg/m³). Carbon monoxide in the gaseous unit of µg/m³ is listed but without a timestamp, while CO expressed in ppb shows a single value of 1.41 ppb and NO a single value of 24.5 ppb, both updated on the same recent date.

In contrast, nitrogen dioxide (NO2) and sulphur dioxide (SO2) appear only as isolated values – 25.84 µg/m³ for NO2 and 14.98 µg/m³ for SO2 – with no freshness information attached, indicating that their latest timestamps are unknown. The dataset therefore has uneven temporal coverage: three pollutants (O3, PM10, PM2.5) include a clear range from minimum to maximum, while several gases are represented by a single point or lack recent updates altogether. Because the data come from just two stations, spatial variation across Haldia is not fully captured; conditions can differ in neighborhoods that lie outside the immediate reach of these monitors. Overall, the available information gives a snapshot of particulate and ozone levels with recent timestamps, but gaps remain for some gases and meteorological variables.

Data notes

The dataset for Haldia includes twelve valid measurements and is updated within three days, with the most recent refresh recorded at 2026‑02‑10T14:00:00+00:00. These values represent a snapshot of ambient conditions captured by the monitoring network; however, air quality can differ across neighborhoods and change throughout the day, so individual experiences may vary from the reported figures.
