What the data includes
The Hamburg air‑quality dataset contains recent measurements for eight pollutants – carbon monoxide (CO) is not reported in the current rows, but nitrogen oxides (NO and NO₂), ozone (O₃), sulphur dioxide (SO₂), particulate matter of three size fractions (PM1, PM2.5, PM10), and relative humidity are all present. In total 100 individual data rows have been collected from 25 monitoring stations across the city, giving a fairly broad spatial coverage for most of the listed compounds.
The freshest observations were recorded on 2026‑02‑10 between 18:00 and 19:01 UTC, with every pollutant except NO having a last‑updated timestamp within the past three days. The NO data are older, dating back to 2024‑03‑11, which means that for nitrogen monoxide the city’s picture is less current than for the other substances. Median values show a moderate spread: NO₂ sits at 25 µg/m³ (range 12–46 µg/m³), PM2.5 averages 28 µg/m³ (8–50 µg/m³), and PM10 averages 32 µg/m³ (8–58 µg/m³). Ozone’s median is 20 µg/m³ with a narrower range of 13–30 µg/m³, while SO₂ remains low at a constant 2.5 µg/m³ across all rows.
Coverage is uneven: the dataset includes 17 recent NO₂ readings, 16 for PM2.5, 15 for PM10, but only six rows each for PM1, O₃ and relative humidity, and just twelve for NO. Consequently, while most pollutants have a solid set of recent values, some – notably NO and the finer particulate fractions – are represented by fewer stations or older records. Users should keep in mind that conditions can differ between neighborhoods and over time, especially where data are sparse or not up‑to‑date.
