Air quality today

The air quality in Krakow today is classified as Unhealthy. The primary pollutant identified is PM2.5, with a measured concentration of 103.51 µg/m³ based on five valid observations reported through OpenAQ.

These data reflect the current state of fine particulate matter in the city and are presented without interpretation or recommendation. This page is informational; for health guidance, use official sources such as EPA AirNow or WHO.

What the data includes

The Kraków air‑quality dataset contains measurements for ten pollutants – black carbon (BC), carbon monoxide (CO), nitrogen dioxide (NO₂), ozone (O₃), particulate matter of three size fractions (PM1, PM2.5, PM10), relative humidity, sulphur dioxide (SO₂) and temperature – drawn from 30 individual rows supplied by six monitoring stations. For most pollutants the latest timestamps are missing, meaning that the data are not current; only PM2.5, PM1 and relative humidity show a recent update on 2026‑02‑10 at 20:00 UTC, which is within the last seven days. All other parameters (BC, CO, NO₂, O₃, PM10, SO₂ and temperature) have no recorded “last updated” information, so their values may reflect older or unknown reporting periods.

The available concentration ranges illustrate considerable variability across the measured species. PM10 values span from about 41 µg/m³ up to roughly 65 µg/m³, with a median near 43 µg/m³, while PM2.5 ranges more widely—from just under 30 µg/m³ to over 103 µg/m³—and the median sits at 48 µg/m³. Nitrogen dioxide shows a minimum of 12.7 µg/m³ and a maximum of 47.8 µg/m³, with a central value around 27 µg/m³. Carbon monoxide varies between 427 µg/m³ and 744 µg/m³, median 585 µg/m³, and black carbon stays low, from 1.5 to 1.85 µg/m³ (median 1.6 µg/m³). Relative humidity recorded at the most recent station reaches 68 % at its high end and drops to about 53 % at its low end, with a median of 60 %.

Because many pollutants lack fresh timestamps, the dataset provides an incomplete snapshot of current conditions; spatial differences are also possible since only six stations contribute data. Users should keep in mind that the reported ranges represent the full set of rows rather than real‑time citywide averages, and that recent measurements are limited to PM2.5, PM1 and humidity only.

Data notes

The data shown for Krakow reflects five valid measurements and was refreshed recently, being updated within three days (last update: 2026‑02‑10T20:00:00+00:00). This snapshot provides a brief overview of current conditions; however, air quality can differ across neighborhoods and change throughout the day, so values may not represent every location or moment in the city.
