Moderate air today for Laja, Biobio Region, Chile

⚠️ This website is currently under active development. Some data may be incomplete or temporarily inaccurate. For health-critical decisions, please verify information through official government or environmental sources.
Categories follow US EPA AQI breakpoints for PM (estimate from latest valid measurements; this project does not compute EPA NowCast/24-hour AQI yet).

This friendly indicator summarizes the latest city readings. For health guidance, please see: EPA AirNow or WHO.

Air quality today

The air quality in Laja today is classified as Moderate. The primary pollutant identified is PM2.5 (fine particles). Measurements from three stations show a PM2.5 reference value of 13.0 and a PM10 reference value of 22.0.

Data are shown via OpenAQ and reflect the current conditions based on the available observations. This page is informational; for health guidance, use official sources such as EPA AirNow or WHO.

What the data includes

The Laja air‑quality record contains data from a single monitoring station, giving six rows of observations—one for each measured pollutant: carbon monoxide (CO), nitrogen dioxide (NO₂), ozone (O₃), particulate matter ≤10 µm (PM10), particulate matter ≤2.5 µm (PM2.5) and sulfur dioxide (SO₂). All values are reported in micrograms per cubic metre.

The most recent measurements are for PM10, PM2.5 and SO₂, each last updated on 2026‑02‑10 at 11:00 UTC, so those three pollutants have data that is less than three days old. In contrast, the CO, NO₂ and O₃ figures were last refreshed on 2021‑08‑20 at 20:00 UTC, meaning they are more than two years out of date. Because each pollutant has only a single entry, the minimum, median and maximum values are identical: CO is recorded at 859.75 µg/m³, NO₂ at 13.48 µg/m³, O₃ at 94.45 µg/m³, PM10 at 22.0 µg/m³, PM2.5 at 13.0 µg/m³ and SO₂ at 13.78 µg/m³.

This dataset shows an uneven temporal coverage: half of the pollutants have very recent readings while the other half rely on older data, limiting a complete picture of current air quality in Laja. With only one monitoring location, spatial variability across the city cannot be captured, so conditions may differ elsewhere or change between the dates of the recorded values.

Data notes

The data shown for Laja reflects three valid measurements and was updated within 3 days, with the latest reading recorded at 2026‑02‑10T11:00:00+00:00. This snapshot provides a current view of ambient air quality, but conditions can differ across neighborhoods and change throughout the day, so local variations may not be captured in these figures.
