Air quality today

The air quality in Lund today is classified as Moderate. The primary pollutant identified is PM2.5 (fine particles). Measurements show a PM2.5 reference value of 27.8 and a PM10 reference value of 12.6, based on seven valid observations collected via OpenAQ.

These figures reflect the current assessment for the city without additional interpretation. This page is informational; for health guidance, use official sources such as EPA AirNow or WHO.

What the data includes

The data set for Lund contains measurements for five common air‑quality pollutants – nitrogen dioxide (NO₂), ozone (O₃), particulate matter 10 µm or smaller (PM10), particulate matter 2.5 µm or smaller (PM2.5) and sulphur dioxide (SO₂). In total there are seven rows of sensor readings, but the coverage is uneven: two stations provide PM10 and PM2.5 data while a single station supplies NO₂, O₃ and SO₂ values.

All observations were recorded on 2026‑02‑10 at 18:00 UTC, so the newest timestamps are less than a day old for every pollutant. For PM10 the values range from a minimum of 12.1 µg/m³ to a maximum of 12.6 µg/m³, with a median of 12.35 µg/m³ and the 90th percentile at about 12.55 µg/m³. PM2.5 shows a broader spread: the lowest reading is 25.9 µg/m³, the highest 27.8 µg/m³, and the median sits at 26.85 µg/m³; the 10th and 90th percentiles are roughly 26.1 µg/m³ and 27.6 µg/m³ respectively. NO₂, O₃ and SO₂ each have a single reported value – 12.4 µg/m³ for NO₂, 33.1 µg/m³ for O₃ and 0.15 µg/m³ for SO₂ – all measured at the Lund Spyken site.

Because only one station contributes data for three of the pollutants, the picture they provide is limited to a specific location, whereas PM10 and PM2.5 benefit from two measurement points that capture slightly more spatial variation. The dataset is fully up‑to‑date, but the small number of rows means that city‑wide conditions may differ across neighborhoods or at other times of day.
