Air quality today

The air quality in Telde is classified as Good. The main pollutant identified is PM2.5. With 11 valid observations, the dataset provides a reliable snapshot of current conditions. Data is shown via OpenAQ. The observations were collected over a recent monitoring interval, ensuring relevance to present conditions. No other pollutants dominate the current profile.

The reference concentration for PM2.5 is 6.0 µg/m³, and the reference for PM10 is 31.0 µg/m³. These reference values serve as benchmarks for fine and inhalable particle levels. The Good classification indicates that the measured concentrations fall within the limits defined by these references. The consistency between the PM2.5 and PM10 reference values supports the overall Good rating. This page is informational; for health guidance, use official sources such as EPA AirNow or WHO.

What the data includes

The Telde air‑quality record draws on 21 recent observations collected at three monitoring sites. All seven standard pollutants are represented: carbon monoxide (CO), nitrogen monoxide (NO), nitrogen dioxide (NO₂), ozone (O₃), particulate matter ≤ 10 µm (PM₁₀), particulate matter ≤ 2.5 µm (PM₂.₅) and sulfur dioxide (SO₂). The most recent timestamps are from 9 February 2026 for CO, NO₂, O₃, PM₁₀, PM₂.₅ and SO₂, showing that these measurements have been refreshed within the last 30 days. The NO data is older, last updated on 28 February 2024, and is the only series flagged as “old”. Across the whole set, 14 rows are from the last month while 7 rows are older, indicating a mix of fresh and dated information.

Looking at the numbers, CO shows the widest spread, ranging from 400 µg/m³ to 600 µg/m³ with a median of 400 µg/m³ and a 90th‑percentile near 560 µg/m³. By contrast, NO varies between 2 µg/m³ and 4 µg/m³, with a median of 4 µg/m³; NO₂ sits between 6 µg/m³ and 8 µg/m³, median 6 µg/m³; O₃ ranges from 84 µg/m³ to 95 µg/m³, median 92 µg/m³; PM₁₀ spans 16 µg/m³ to 31 µg/m³, median 24 µg/m³; PM₂.₅ is confined to 4 µg/m³–6 µg/m³, median 6 µg/m³; and SO₂ runs from 4 µg/m³ to 6 µg/m³, median 4 µg/m³. Most pollutants cluster tightly around their median values, while CO exhibits a broader distribution.

The data also reveal uneven spatial coverage. CO, NO, NO₂ and SO₂ all originate from the LA LOMA‑TELDE station, O₃ is reported only by the PEDRO LEZCANO site, and both PM₁₀ and PM₂.₅ come exclusively from PARQUE DE SAN JUAN‑TELDE. Because each pollutant is tied to a single monitoring point, the recorded values reflect conditions at those specific locations and may not capture the full variability across the city, especially where older observations are present.
