Air quality today

The air quality in Zalla today is classified as Good. The main pollutant identified is PM2.5. Current observations report PM2.5 at 2.0 µg/m³ and PM10 at 6.0 µg/m³.

These values are based on five valid measurements collected and displayed through OpenAQ. The data reflect the conditions measured during the reporting period. The dataset includes multiple sampling points across the city, providing a representative snapshot of ambient air. All reported values fall within the reference thresholds for the region. This page is informational; for health guidance, use official sources such as EPA AirNow or WHO.

What the data includes

The Zalla air‑quality record contains measurements for six pollutants – nitrogen monoxide (NO), nitrogen dioxide (NO2), ozone (O3), particulate matter 10 µm (PM10), particulate matter 2.5 µm (PM2.5) and sulphur dioxide (SO2). The data come from two monitoring stations and comprise eleven individual rows. Five of those rows have been updated within the last thirty days, while the remaining six are classified as old; the most recent timestamps are 2026‑02‑09 15:00 UTC for O3, PM10, PM2.5 and SO2, and 2026‑01‑28 13:00 UTC for NO2. The lone NO observation dates back to 2024‑01‑16 23:00 UTC and originates from a different site (ES1598A).

Across the recent data the observed concentrations show a modest spread. NO2 values range from 4.0 µg/m³ up to 11.0 µg/m³, with a median of 7.5 µg/m³ and the 10th‑percentile at 4.7 µg/m³, indicating most recent readings cluster in the lower half of the range. Ozone varies between 46.0 and 60.0 µg/m³, median 53.0 µg/m³, with the 90th‑percentile reaching 58.6 µg/m³, suggesting a relatively narrow upper band. PM10 spans 6.0 to 21.0 µg/m³, median 13.5 µg/m³, while PM2.5 covers 2.0 to 13.0 µg/m³, median also 7.5 µg/m³; both particulate series show a broader spread between their 10th‑ and 90th‑percentiles. SO2 is recorded between 3.0 and 6.0 µg/m³, median 4.5 µg/m³, with the upper 90th‑percentile at 5.7 µg/m³. In contrast, NO has only a single historic value of 0.0 µg/m³, offering no recent insight for that pollutant. Overall, the dataset provides recent coverage for five of the six pollutants, but the presence of older rows and the limited station count mean that conditions can differ across the city and over time.
